heat + dry + gumtrees = bushfire
So the whole state is covered with thick, choking smoke. The acrid stink hurts my nose and even with the whole house closed up the smell has seeped in through every little crack.
But it made for a pretty nice sunset...

We've been lucky almost 10 years now. Last biggie was in Quebec just to the north. Took ages to get rid of the smell. Pretty sunset, seems there's always a saving grace no matter how bad it seems.
Out of the ick comes beauty.

Not good those gumtrees asmoke! Hope there's a gentle breeze soon to shove the smoke off shore. Not too strong before all is put out though.
